Zagreb Attractions

All important Zagreb, Croatian culture and history attractions are located nearby the Panorama Zagreb hotel. Feel free to visit it during your stay.
  • Zagreb Upper Town
Located on the slopes of the mountain Medvednica, the Upper Town was fortified with walls and towers in the 13th century. Many legends are associated with it, such as the legend of the Bloody Bridge and Stone Gate – the only one remaining out of four gates leading to Gradec, where there is, still to this day, a unique and often visited shrine covered with votive tablets.
  • St. Mark’s Church
St. Mark’s Church is one of the most distinguishing motives of Zagreb, thanks to its colourful roof featuring the emblems of the city of Zagreb and the Triple Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia.
  • Zagreb Cathedral of the Assumption
The most monumental church in Zagreb and the largest one in Croatia is the Cathedral of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, featuring 105-metre tall bell towers that have become the symbol of Kaptol and Zagreb.
  • The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb
The famous Croatian National Theatre was built in 1895. This baroque edifice is surrounded by many buildings of high architectural value that represent the late 19th and early 20th century architecture.
  • Sljeme and Medvednica
When it comes to relaxation and recreation, Sljeme is the favourite destination for the citizens of Zagreb and its tourists, marking a unique point on the Zagreb tourist map. This highest peak of the Medvednica Nature Park is located only 17 kilometres from the Zagreb centre and can be reached on foot, by car, motorcycle or bicycle.
