Panorama Zagreb received "PKU Friendly Hotel" certificate

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is an inherited metabolic disorder that occurs due to congenital defects in the complex mechanism of the amino acid phenylalanine. Therefore, all people with PKU are subjected to a lifelong strict low protein diet.
Croatian Association phenylketonuria, a non-profit association that is, since 1990, continuously working in order to improve life quality for families with phenylketonuria and help with various problems that families stricken with phenylketonuria are dealing with.

In order to further raise awareness of this metabolic problem and lifestyle tied to it, the association has organized, this Saturday at the Panorama Hotel Zagreb, an event, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Association. A special PKU, low protein cookbook was promoted. With the cookbook and the delicious low-protein snacks that meet PKU standards, along with the announcement of the monograph the PKU Friendly certificates for the hotels within the HUP-ZAGREB group were presented: the PKU Friendly certificates for the following hotels were assigned: The Westin Zagreb, Sheraton Zagreb, Panorama Zagreb, Hotel International and Hotel Jadran. Certificate and status of a PKU friendly hotel are given to insure that a person may, with a prior announcement with the hotel, ask for and consume meals, prepared according to strict rules of PKU dietary standards in all HUP-ZAGREB hotels.
